Why Apple Shouldn’t Release A 7? iPad…Ever!

apple-ipad-home-screen-small There was talk of Apple is preparing a 7? IPAD model for release before the end of 2010, in time for the Christmas season at the end of the year. This would be a mistake in my opinion to be, and here's why …

Let us just look at the current ecosystem of IOS devices. We have the iPod Touch , which has 3.5? Display and runs what is essentially the same version of IOS than the iPhone (according to the generation of the iPod Touch of course, but we can assume that the latest version you have), only without the "phone". Then we have the iPhone 4 . Again we are looking at a 3.5 inch display, IOS 4 Just like the iPod Touch.

Then we have the product that Inbetweener as a "netbook replacement for OS X users, between the iPhone and the 13 acts? Macbook. I am of course talking about the Apple IPAD . It is getting 9.7 inch display and runs iOS 3.2 in the moment, although an upgrade to 4.0 is iOS imminent, and should arrive no later than in November with a variety of specialties.

Why do we need another product in this ecosystem? For me, the IPAD is the perfect in-between product for those cases where you really want, not to carry around a MacBook Pro or other laptop, but your iPhone is not just quite cut it for you on the road.

We have already seen that the IPAD will be a slightly modified version of IOS than the iPhone – it is already, but hopefully we will see many more unique features come with the release of the 4.0 update for iOS IPAD – and it is much to develop more than they have for the iPhone. Apple will probably be that some features of Mac OS X, like Exposé, which in this update, so it is not as easy a task as iOS update for iPhone and iPod Touch.

For Apple, a new model of the IPAD to introduce my opinion, would be a step too far. The problem I see in the market, that for the Board. No one will have to be buying a 7-inch IPAD when they already the 9.7-inch model, it is not easy at any point in it. Therefore, they will probably be targeting people who have no IPAD as of yet, but with them a slightly cheaper alternative.

But there lies the problem … the 9.7-inch display is ideal for a product like the IPAD. Any smaller and you lose much of the purpose of the device. Rumors indicate that they are running at the same resolution as the current IPAD (1024 x 768), but then the 9.7-inch model would certainly see a higher resolution for the second generation model, apart from the smaller model. This means that developers now make applications for two resolutions in the design of their, and it could create some headaches for the Apple design team – they could end up before an OS and product fragmentation, as we have seen, Android devices .

Of course, Apple is what Apple wants, and I'm sure Steve Jobs is the stage and try to us with his latest "magic" wow device. I do not want to just see all the Apple stretched thinner than they are now, and forgot about us Mac users, while they're at it.

Hopefully, the ecosystem, as is the moment to stay, and the earth will in fact continue to spin. If not, I see Apple create a line-up, which will eventually not be able to manage.

Yahoo Mail on iPad Better than Apple Mail

Yahoo Mail on the IPAD is a beautiful thing and is a rare situation in which an application is better than what Apple has created itself. To make things even more interesting, it is not only much better than a native application – in this case, the mail app that comes with the IPAD, but it is based on HTML5 and browser-based application as it is supposed to be at a disadvantage.

How can you read this, heads will roll at Apple as a company unleashing all kinds of awesomeness in new and different form factors, the thought that Yahoo would would beat them at their own game? The bar has been raised and we can expect Apple to come swinging with similar properties in a new update, which will tout in their advertising as if they were at first. This pretty much what the company had to cut and paste after the launch of this feature years after the rest of the industry.

But who really cares if, at the end of the competition is forcing companies to roll out better products and services? Try it yourself at mail.yahoo.com .
